Unbeaten Carlisle City come from behind to take 3 points
Carlisle City extended their unbeaten start to the Northern League Division One season to four games with a 3-1 win at West Allotment Celtic. Only Whitley Bay’s better goal difference is keeping The Sky Blues off the top spot at this early stage.
Alfa Djalo had given the home side the lead on the 23 minute mark, but Robert Liam Lightfoot’s equaliser sent the sides in level at the break.
Two goals in five second half minutes snagged all three points for Dan Kirkup’s side – buoyed by their first win of the season in midweek over Boro Rangers – with Jordan Palmer and Keighran Kerr ensuring back-to-back wins for The Sky Blues on Friday night.

Kendal see off Crooks
Kendal Town ensured bragging rights stayed in Cumbria after beating Crook Town 2-0 – after beating the same opponents two weekends in a row.
Victory over Crook in the FA Cup last weekend was followed by a clean sheet league win thanks to second half goals from Josh Winder and James Bailey.
The Mintcakes jump into the top six after ensuring their opposition are now the only side yet to register a point in the division. 419 watched on at Parkside Road – the weekend’s highest attendance across the Northern League.
Penrith draw again with late penalty
Luke Hunter’s last minute penalty saved a point for Penrith in a 2-2 draw at home to Whickham.
The visitors twice took the lead – firstly through Kyle Cockburn’s 34th minute effort ahead of sub Connor Shields equalising the game on 67 minutes. Jordan Lavery’s penalty restored Whickham’s advantage shortly after before Hunter’s late and crucial intervention.
Penrith are still looking for their first win of the campaign despite only losing one of four league matches.
