NWSF looks beyond the big competitions, teams and athletes to find the stories across the North West that might not make news elsewhere – as the likes of Liverpool FC, Wigan Warriors and Tyson Fury are covered extensively across the media, you won’t see them here.

What you will see is our local non-league football sides, Olympic and Para-sports that fade into the background once the Games are over, and much more across a wide range of sports.
