Winsford United nick all three points
Winsford United picked up a crucial 3-2 victory at Stafford Town in a table-topping clash in the North West Counties First Division South – and closed the gap at the top to two points.
Reece Davies was the hero for the away side, with his goal a minute from time wrapping up all three points. Blake Robinson had put Winsford ahead on 38 minutes, but Stafford were level within a minute through Patryk Mazurkiewicz.
The same player put the hosts ahead for the first time from the penalty spot on 52 minutes, however the travelling side were gifted a goal through an Adam Jenkins own goal – before Davies’ crucial intervention – as his side bagged a tenth straight win in all competitions.

It’s a first home defeat for long-term leaders Stafford. Winsford United consolidate second and boast the division’s meanest defence having conceded just 12 goals to date.
Lucky 13 for Cammell Laird
Cammell Laird picked up an emphatic 4-0 win at Allscott Heath – their first win in 13 league games.
New manager Glyn Norman has his first three points on the board with two goals in each half – James Eaton netting either side of the break, alongside one apiece from Jack Kelly and Cameron McGregor’s injury time effort.
It’s a measure of revenge for Lairds, who lost the reverse fixture 4-2 back in September.
Ramblers storm on with another victory
Sandbach United moved to within a point of the playoffs with a 4-1 home win over Stockport Georgians.
Ben Greenop opened and closed the scoring for the home side, with Ryan Goodwin and Joe Bevan also on target. It’s a sixth straight win in all competitions for Declan Swan’s side.
Joe Collins briefly pulled Georgians level with his seventh of the season, but it’s back-to-back defeats for the Cromley Road side.
Home defeat for Millers
New Mills fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Abbey Hulton United, with Callum Woolrich grabbing an injury time winner for the visitors.
Michael Mackintosh had put United ahead with his 43rd minute effort, but New Mills looked to have gained a point through Ashley Woods’ equaliser midway through the second half.
The Millers have now fell to three consecutive 2-1 losses in recent weeks.

There was also defeat for Barnton, who fell to a 2-0 loss at home to Market Drayton Town, while Cheadle Heath Nomads lost 1-0 at home to Foley Meir.
Elsewhere in the division Wolverhampton Sporting Community and Alsager Town shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.
