In-form Kendal Town win again

Kendal Town are up to third place in the Northern League Division One table after beating Whickham 2-1 to record a fourth straight win.

Jamie Looker opened the scoring for The Mintcakes after just five minutes, but the visitors were level five minutes later through Kyle Cockburn.

The game remained level until midway through the second half, when Tom Kilifin’s penalty won it for the home side. The result went the way of the form book, with Whickham still winless after six matches.
