The joy of six for Fulwood Amateurs’ Lucas
New boys Fulwood Amateurs are in seventh heaven with seven points on the board – after thrashing Garstang 7-1 at the Riverside.
Spencer Lucas netted SIX of his side’s goals – moving him to nine for the season already. Garstang pulled one back once Lucas had his (first) hat-trick through Luke Draysey on 43 minutes.
Lucas’ dominant performance continued in the second half and there was even time for Owen Watkinson to weigh in with his second in as many games.
Maine Road ease to victory
Maine Road notched up a third win/clean sheet combo while dismissing Ashton Athletic 4-0 at Brantingham Road.
Emmanuel Osayogie opened the scoring after 11 minutes, but it would be in the second half the floodgates began to open.
Sam Wrigley and Mark Pearson scored one apiece as the game reached the 75 minute mark, before Jack Coop added the fourth in added time.
Van drives it home for Droylsden
Droylsden bounced back from consecutive defeats to beat Squires Gate 2-0 at The Butchers Arms.

The Blackpool side have four points on the board, two shy of the Bloods.
Darwen see off Old Boys
Darwen also returned to winning ways by taking home a 2-1 victory over Holker Old Boys – who played the second half a man down.
Brandon Dawson and Josh Abbott were already on the scoresheet for the visitors when Joe McGladdery was sent off.
Charlie McGladdery did pull one back for the Cumbrian side midway through the second half, but Darwen leapfrog them in the table.
