Sandbach United leave it late
Sandbach United came from behind to beat Shawbury United 2-1 and pick up their first win of the North West Counties First Division South season.
Previously unbeaten Shawbury took the lead just after the break through Ablay Sowe, and the game had reached 76 minutes before Robbie Hatton equalised.
One goal soon led to the second – within two minute Kyle Foley joined his team-mate on the scoresheet with what proved to be the winner. Declan Swan’s side are off and running after defeat in their first match.

Barnton leave it later still
In a similar vein, fellow Cheshire side Barnton left it late to win 2-1 at Allscott Heath.
Ben Summers’ third in as many games for the hosts looked set to win them the match, but in the final five minutes Barnton completed a smash-and-grab job to take home all three points.
Ben Mullarkey drew his side level on 86 minutes – and two minutes later they were in the lead thanks to Jack McKean. They remain unbeaten with seven points on the board.

Runcorn Town maintain perfect start
Runcorn Town‘s strong start to the season continued with a third successive win while beating Haughmond 4-2 on the road.
Ethan Pickford put the home side ahead after 22 minutes, but the lead only lasted two minutes when Matty Vickers equalised. Tom Ruffer put his side ahead on 39 minutes, and the same player would later close out the scoring with Runcorn’s fourth.
Shaquille Lewis netted Runcorn’s third before Francy Mpasi threatened to bring Haughmond back into the game.
Millers building form
Back-to-back wins for New Mills move the Church Lane side into the top five at this early stage of the season.
The Millers beat Wolverhampton Casuals 3-2 in front of 146 – the division’s highest attendance this weekend.
Goals from Rio Wilson-Heyes, Keenan Switzer and a Will Shawcross penalty ten minutes from time wrapped up the points. Jonathan Letford and Harreson Clarke’s injury time goal gave Cassies hope of adding to their point on the board.
Nomads too strong for Foley Meir
Cheadle Heath Nomads picked up a solid 3-0 victory over winless Foley Meir.
Ryan Conroy’s first competitive win as Nomads boss came courtesy of Hal McHugh, Jack Ryan and Alex May, all who score for the first time this season.
Nomads gain revenge for the 1-0 loss suffered in the corresponding fixture last season.

Magee spot kick wins it for Ashville
Tyler Magee’s first half penalty was enough for Ashville to take victory at Wolverhampton Sporting Community.
Magee struck on 22 minutes to give Steven Scott’s side a first win of the season and ensure their opponents remain without a point to their name.
Just 22 were in attendance – a new low across the Counties this season to date.
Georgians slip up at Market Drayton
A strong start for Stockport Georgians hit the buffers at Market Drayton Town – with the home side picking up their first points in a 3-1 win.
A Daniel Holdcroft brace and one from Harry Minshall ensured Kyle Wych’s last minute penalty was nothing more than a consolation.
Lairds beaten by impressive Stafford Town
Cammell Laird are off to a slow start points wise, but Ben Wood was up early to put his side ahead after three minutes against Stafford Town.
Unfortunately for the home side, it wouldn’t last as Stafford maintained their 100% start to the season with two James May goals and one apiece from Matthew Hearsey and Mitchell Glover.
Both sides ended the game a fiercely-contested game with ten men – with Lairds’ Haydn Cooper shown his marching orders at 2-1. Stafford’s Harry Hatton was sent off in added time for a second booking.
