Runcorn Town crush West
Runcorn Town smashed West Didsbury & Chorlton 7-0 in their own back yard as the Midland Premier Division continued to take shape in midweek.
Last season’s Step 6 champions netted a pair of hat-tricks – one for Connor Spiers, one for Luke Nicholls – alongside Kieran Alley’s opening goal on the quarter hour.
This result means Runcorn have already racked up 11 goals in just two matches since their transfer to this competition.

607 were in attendance, the highest across the division’s midweek games. Joint manager Steven Yarwood has since resigned his post, leaving Lee Rick in sole charge ahead of this weekend’s FA Cup tie at Garforth Town.
Another late win for Winsford United
Winsford United remain unbeaten and unbreached after another late win, this time beating Cheadle Town 1-0.
Kaylan Wilkinson’s 87th minute volley ensured all three points and another clean sheet went home with the Cheshire side.
All three of Winsford’s goals to date have come in the final 15 minutes of the match. It’s a first loss for Cheadle since joining the Midland League.

Georgians double up at Town’s expense
Stockport Georgians also made it two wins in as many matches with a hard-fought 3-2 win over Wythenshawe Town.
Town had taken the lead through Inacio Djalo Balde on 12 minutes, but prolific Georgians marksman Lucas Berry has his side level, and then ahead, by the half time whistle with his fourth and fifth goals of the season already.
Freddie Walker added a third for the home side on 63 minutes, with Town pulling another back with 20 left to play but this would prove to be a consolation effort.
Vics draw blank again
Northwich Victoria and Whitchurch Alport couldn’t be separated in a 0-0 draw at Yockings Park – despite the home side playing with 10 men for over an hour.
Lennon Billingham’s straight red card on 28 minutes could have left Alport vulnerable, but Vics couldn’t break them down and had to settle for a point.
It’s a second goalless draw for Northwich to start their season – who will look to break their duck at the third attempt in Sunday’s FA Cup game at Beverley Town.
